PAINT CORRECTION
Schedule for Free Estimate
Paint correction is the process of restoring and rejuvenating paintwork of a vehicle, mostly through the elimination of surface imperfections that dull or haze the surface by reflecting light in various directions. These imperfections include etching from bird droppings, bugs, scratches and swirls from improper wiping and washing techniques, acid rain, water spots, or hologram trails from poor buffing techniques. The paints surface can be likened to that of a gemstone; the imperfections it has will progressively detract from the overall shine.
At 360 Customs we consider paint correction to be an outlet of true artistic expression. Enhancing the beauty of the paint is one of the most fulfilling portions of our business. The joy provided to our customers is what makes the additional effort and attention to detail so worthwhile.
Paint correction begins with a thorough wash, chemically removing iron and other metals, and then clay the surface to safely remove remaining contaminants. After that, the surface is inspected and panels are tested to determine the level of machine polishing that will be necessary. The clearcoat of most cars is about the thickness of a post-it-note so it is extremely important to remove as little of it as possible during the polishing process.
Depending on the level of correction needed, the paint will be systematically worked, multiple times, with machine applied polishes and compounds to remove scratches and imperfections until a near perfect finish is achieved.
If you are looking to return your paint to an elite level of gloss or If you are having a ceramic coating or paint protection film installed, then you will appreciate the transformation that paint correction will bring to your vehicle.
